Kingsport, TN – March 4,  2014Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN), the world’s leading producer of professional window films for automotive, residential and commercial markets, presented national and regional dealer awards at its annual Vista™ Elite Dealer Conference, held in Scottsdale, Arizona on Feb 21-23, 2014.

The Vista conference is a networking event designed to educate top dealers on how to capitalize on advancing window film technology. This year’s conference, themed “Winning As One” was well attended by elite dealers from across the nation. Eastman recognized the achievements of the past year during a festive awards dinner.

National Dealer of the Year Award

The 2013 National Dealer of the Year Award was presented to Mobile Tint/A-1 Glass Coating of San Antonio, Texas.  Mike Wanke accepted the award on behalf of his company.  His business was chosen from the hundreds of candidates in Eastman’s elite Vista dealer program. The award was based on several criteria including dealer loyalty, growth and the use of Eastman’s exclusive Vista sales and marketing programs.

Wanke opened his business in 1986, and focused on offering quality automotive installations. But he quickly realized that the architectural market offered a vast growth opportunity. Today, nearly 80 percent of his business is generated through architectural sales. Some of his most noteworthy projects include the Marriott Riverwalk, San Antonio Convention Center, Alamodome, and the San Antonio Airport. Wanke was named Texas Regional Dealer of the Year in 2012. He attributes his success to relationship building through glass companies, architects and designers. Learn more about his career on the Vista window film blog.

“Mike Wanke and his team have been a fantastic partner for many years,” said Clinton Patrick, North American Commercial Manager.  “Because of their hard work, attention to detail and excellent customer service, they have been able to show impressive growth year after year. We congratulate them on another great year and look forward to working with them in the future.”

“It is an honor to be chosen as the Vista 2013 National Dealer of the Year,” said Wanke.  “At A1 Glass Coating, we strive every day to provide the highest quality service to our customers, and this allows us to continue to grow our business. We are grateful that Eastman provides us with the best products and marketing tools to achieve that goal.”
